Summer Movie Night - July 18 - Spirited Away
Come this Saturday to downtown Urbana. Meet your neighbors, hear local music, and watch Miyazaki's masterpiece, Spirited Away, a film people of all ages will enjoy! Spirited Away will be the thirdinstallment of #urbanalove's second-annualSummer Movie Night. During movie nights, we show films in the parking lot of 129 N. Race St., a few blocks north of Main St. in downtown Urbana. It's not just about films, though. This Saturday, we have a double-headed. Before the screening, we'll be hosting Exposed on the Road, an event where you can hear local music and see art by local artists. All you need to bring are yourselves and blankets and/or chairs. RSVP with the Facebook event to be sure that you don't forget to come!Spirited Away is one of our favorite films here at Neutral Cycle. Considered by many to be Hayao Miyazaki's best film, Spirited Away tells the story of Chihiro, a young girl who wanders into the spirit world and must find a way to save her parents who have been transformed into pigs. Beautifully animated, this film vividly creates a world of magic and adventure and will captivate both children and adults alike. Here's the schedule for Saturday's showing:
7:00 - Exposed on the Road
8:15 - Screening of short films and Spirited Away.
Summer Movie Nights are sponsored by [co][lab], +ADJACENCY, Champaign County Bikes, Urbana's Market at the Square, Neutral Design Studio, Dixon Graphics, Urbana Public Arts Program, Neutral Cycle, Corson Music, Common Ground Food Co-op, and Prairie Rivers Network.
