Summer Movie Night – August 22 – The Goonies
Come out to celebrate summer by watching The Goonies outdoors in Downtown Urbana! Reunite with old friends, meet some new friends, and enjoy being (back) in Urbana.Welcome back students! Classes may start on Monday, but that doesn't mean that summer is over. If you've not been around for the past few months, then you've missed our Summer Movie Nights– events where we bring together community members and local businesses in Downtown Urbana and enjoy activities and events like community bike rides, art shows, live music, and –yes– film screenings.August's film with be The Goonies, a cult classic that tells the story of a group of Oregon kids working to save their homes from being turned into a golf course. Along the way they get involved with a pirate's buried treasure, thieves, and caves. (I think that description should suffice!) The film will be shown tomorrow, Saturday, August 22, in the parking lot of 129 N. Race St. Remember to bring chairs, blankets, and any other items you may need!Here's a schedule for tomorrow's events:
7:00PM - Live music by The Motes.
~8:00PM (Sundown) - Screening of The Goonies.
